This handsome unit uses a blend of old and new technology to interpret the weather. The Galileo thermometer is filled with a clear liquid that suspends multiple colored weights. As the liquid within the weights changes temperature their density changes allowing the weights to rise or fall. The lowest weight at the very top of the Galileo reflects the temperature. I ordered this as a gift for my husband. It shipped well, however, the overall presentation is good, not great.

Arrived just as described
Haven’t had a chance to really try out the barometer yet, but the item arrived completely in tact, not broken as so many have described.

Great Galileo Barometer and thermometer
The set was purchased as a Christmas gift and it was the only thing my friend from Columbia wanted for Christmas. She has really enjoyed it ad though the colors were amazing.

beware of return policy from Geroy’s
Beware! This item arrived broken, since it is fragile. Geroy’s and Amazon refused to send a replacement, but did give me a refund.

Came broken. NIGHTMARE
I bought this as a gift for my mother. it arrived at my house broken. I called customer service and the rep i talked to said she would send me a new one free of charge.
